On June 13, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Guo Haiyan visited Bedzimba Comprehensive School in Mombasa County, and attended the Commissioning of Science Laboratory and the Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship Award Ceremony. Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance Hon. Hassan Omar, Head Teacher of Bedzimba Comprehensive School Ms. Elizabeth Kitsao, and more than 900 teachers and students attended the event.

  Amb.Guo learned about the school’s development, encouraged the teachers and students to enhance their understanding of China, and actively promote China-Kenya friendship. She expressed China’s willingness to take the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges as an opportunity, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education and culture, contributing to the building of a China-Kenya community with a shared future for the new era.

  The Kenyan attendees expressed their gratitude to China for its support in the development of the Bedzimba Comprehensive School,  and looked forward to deepening education cooperation between the two countries, promoting the friendship between China and Kenya to take deeper root in the hearts of the two peoples.
