On June 3, 2026, Ambassador Guo Haiyan met separately with Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang’ula, Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, and Hon. Gladys Shollei, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya.

  Amb. Guo briefed on the China-Kenya high-level exchanges and China’s zero-tariff policy for African countries. She noted that exchanges between the legislative bodies of China and Kenya play an important role in promoting the comprehensive development of bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Kenya to continue supporting each other and deepening friendly cooperation across various fields.

They reaffirmed Kenya’s adherence to the One China principle and expressed Kenya’s preparedness to further advance friendly cooperation with China.
