On 26th May, 2026, H.E. GUO Haiyan, Ambassador of China to Kenya, paid a call on H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya.

  Amb. Guo briefed on the bilateral meetings between the Chinese and U.S. heads of state, as well as between the Chinese and Russian heads of state. She expressed gratitude for Kenya’s strong support on issues concerning China’s core interests, such as the Taiwan question, and exchanged views with H.E. Dr. Mudavadi on bilateral relations and the international situation. She noted that both sides should make full use of the zero-tariff treatment and accelerate China and Kenya’s joint steps towards modernization.

  H.E. Dr. Mudavadi highly commended China’s major-country diplomacy in the new era, noting that it has provided the most valuable stability and certainty to a turbulent world. The Kenyan side reaffirmed its adherence to the one China principle, and pledged to fully leverage the benefits brought by the zero-tariff treatment to deepen high-quality, practical cooperation with China across various sectors and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
