On May 19, 2026, Ambassador Guo Haiyan met with Dr. Erick Rutto, President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KNCCI), and held in-depth discussions on advancing China-Kenya bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

  Ambassador Guo highlighted that China’s zero-tariff policy offers a significant opportunity for Kenya to expand export to China and optimize its trade structure. The Embassy is committed to strengthening collaboration with the KNCCI, aiming to promote Kenyan product export, industry upgrading, capacity building, thereby contributing to the sustained growth of China-Kenya economic and trade relations.

  Dr. Erick Rutto spoke highly of China’s zero-tariff policy, affirming that KNCCI will fully leverage this opportunity to increase exports to China. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and dialogue with Chinese chambers and associations, exploring more channels for collaboration, and further advancing China-Kenya economic and trade relations.
