On July 16, 2026, Ambassador Guo Haiyan met with Rt. Hon. Amason Kingi, Speaker of the Senate of Kenya.

  Amb. Guo briefed Rt. Hon. Kingi on the China-Kenya high-level exchanges, China's zero-tariff policy for African countries, and the remarkable achievements the Communist Party of China has made since its founding 105 years ago, as well as the accomplishments China has achieved in modernization. She noted that China stands ready to strengthen exchanges with the Senate of Kenya, deepen friendly cooperation across various fields, and work together to build an even closer China-Kenya community with a shared future in the new era.

  Rt. Hon. Amason Kingi highly commended the remarkable progress China has made since the founding of the Communist Party of China 105 years ago and spoke highly of Kenya-China relations and the fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation. He reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to developing relations with China and its firm adherence to the One China principle. He expressed the Senate's readiness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies, so as to deliver more tangible benefits to both countries and their peoples through practical cooperation.
