Amb. Guo Haiyan Holds Briefing on the Guiding Principles Of the Fourth Plenary Session for the Kenya Journalists
On December 18, Ambassador Guo Haiyan held a briefing on the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) for journalists and editors from major media houses of Kenya.

At the briefing, Amb. Guo introduced the significance of the Fourth Plenary Session, China’s development achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and the main economic and social development goals for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Amb. Guo also explained China’s development experience based on the the fifth volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China”. Ambassador Guo noted that China is a major contributor to global economic growth and that China’s high-quality development offers immense opportunities for the world. She emphasized that China stands ready to enhance exchanges of experience in state governance and deepen practical cooperation with African countries including Kenya to share opportunities, help each other succeed and achieve common development on the journey towards modernization.

The Kenyan journalists and editors commended China’s economic and social development achievements, and expressed recognition of China’s governance experience. They noted that China enjoys bright development prospects and that there is huge potential for the China-Kenya and China-Africa cooperation. They expressed the hope that China will achieve greater progress during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and that China-Kenya and China-Africa relations will reach new heights.
