On December 15, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan attended the General Assembly of the Kenya-China Economic and Trade Association and delivered remarks. Representatives from more than 100 member enterprises were present.

  Ambassador Guo fully affirmed the Association’s work over the past year in serving member enterprises and promoting pragmatic China-Kenya economic and trade cooperation, and highly commended member companies for their positive role in promoting Kenya’s economic and social development, improving local livelihoods, and deepening bilateral relations between China and Kenya.

  Ambassador Guo called on enterprises to better coordinate development and security, strengthen risk prevention and control, and ensure safe production and sound operations. She urged enterprises to operate in strict accordance with laws and regulations, engage in orderly competition, deepen localization, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees, earnestly fulfill their social responsibilities, foster harmonious labor relations, and promote the high-quality development of China-Kenya economic and trade cooperation.
