On November 7, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Guo Haiyan attended the Launch Event of China Moblie AI+ Cloud Network Convergence Industry Solution under the theme “Connect. Innovate. Ignite: Empowering Africa Digital Future Together”, and delivered remarks. Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, CS for Information Communication and the Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui, PS for ICT and the Digital Economy, Mr. Li Huidi, Vice President of China Mobile, and representatives from China Mobile’s local partners were present, with a total of over 100 participants.

  Ambassador Guo noted that digital cooperation has become a new highlight of practical China-Africa collaboration. The official activation of the China Mobile 2Africa East Segment Submarine Cable Resources, together with the successful release of the AI+ Cloud Network Convergence Industry Solution, marks another vivid example of China-Africa digital partnership in action. As a sincere partner, China will continue to support Kenya’s digital transformation and inject new momentum into the growth of Africa’s digital economy. Ambassador Guo expressed the hope that China and Kenya will further strengthen digital cooperation between governments and enterprises, jointly participate in global governance, and work together toward mutual benefit and shared success.
