On 1st April, H.E. Guo Haiyan, Ambassador of China to Kenya, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Rachel Ruto, First Lady of the Republic of Kenya.

Amb. Guo conveyed to Madam Ruto the warm greeting and best wishes of H.E. Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, praised Madam Ruto’s outstanding contribution to safeguarding the rights of women, youth and children, and expressed that China is willing to work with Kenya to implement the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, so as to deepen exchanges and cooperation in health and education for women and children.

Madam Ruto requested Amb. Guo to convey her sincere greeting to H.E. Peng Liyuan and expressed welcome to the Ambassador on assuming her new post. Madam Ruto appreciated China for its long-term support for Kenya’s development, and expressed that Kenya is looking forward to strengthening bilateral cooperation, so as to benefit the two peoples and deepen bilateral friendship.
