On March 13, H.E. Amb. Guo Haiyan paid a courtesy call on  Rt. Hon. Amason Jeffah Kingi，Speaker of the Senate. 

Amb. Guo conveyed to the Rt. Hon. Kingi cordial greetings from H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. Briefing the just concluded annual Two Sessions, Amb. Guo said that China is confident that it will maintain strong economic momentum in 2025, and continue to empower the world economy. She also emphasized that China is committed to strengthening exchanges with the Senate and collaborating with Kenya to build an even closer China-Kenya community with a shared future in the new era.

Rt. Hon. Kingi extended his best wishes to H.E. Zhao Leji and welcomed Amb. Guo’s assumption of office. He highly praised the Kenya-China relationship as well as the achievements of bilateral cooperation. He said that the Senate attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly supports the one-China principle and is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between two sides to further advance bilateral relations.
