On 10 March, H.E. Guo Haiyan, Ambassador of China to Kenya met with UNIDO Kenya Country Representative Ms. Tally Einav. The meeting was attended by Mr. Zhou Zhencheng, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy.

Ms. Einav welcomed Ambassador Guo's assumption of office, and introduced UNIDO's work plan for Kenya. She expressed expectation to enhance cooperation with China in relevant fields.

Ambassador Guo appreciated the important role played by UNIDO in promoting industrialization and economic development in developing countries, and expressed willingness to actively explore various forms of cooperation between the two sides to support the capacity building and value chain development of Kenya.
