“Shared Future” Photography/Video Contest

In celebration of the 60thAnniversary of China-Kenya Diplomatic Relations and the 10thAnniversary of Belt and Road Initiative, the Chinese Embassy in Kenya is happy to launch a Photography/Video Contest themed Shared Futureto demonstrate the traditional friendship between China and Kenya and the achievements of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and look forward to the new vision of China-Kenya cooperation for future development.

 Participants

--All Kenyan citizens.

--All Chinese nationals living or working in Kenya.

Thematic contents

--Profound friendship between Chinese people and Kenyan people

--Achievements of China-Kenya cooperation in infrastructure

--Close economic and trade ties between China and Kenya

--Cultural exchanges and mutual learningbetween China and Kenya

Category

Photo: Stitched photos are not accepted;

Video: Short animation or videos (not exceeding 5 minutes)

Rules

1. Each participant should submit not more than three works, with the registration form as attached.

2. Works which has been submitted for the former contests that are hold by Chinese Embassy in Kenya are excluded.

3. The photo size should be from 1 M to 10 M, with a format of JPEG.All images must be saved in the sRGB colour model and EXIF data must be left in the image file. Animation and video resolution not less than 1080P, with a format of MP4. Subtitles must be attached. English subtitles are need if the video is in Chinese language.

4. Copyright infringement, reprinting works are not accepted.

5. Keep the original works for verification.

6. No signsor logos such as the website nameor links on the works.

7. Send the works and registration forms to chinakenyaphotocontest@gmail.com Subject format: "participant's name - category - work's name"

NOTE: Participating in the contest implies that you have authorized the organizers complimentary use of the works for publicity, publishing, exhibition, video or online shows.

Participents submit works from today to September13rd, 2023

Judges select qualified works, rate and name the winnersfrom September14thtoSeptember15th, 2023

Awards announcement and exhibitionin late September.

● Prizes

First prize (2 winners): camera worth around Ksh 330,000.

Second prize (4 winners) : smartphone wortharound Ksh130,000.

Third prize (8 winners): smartphone worth around Ksh80,000.

Finalists (Up to 16): digital device worth around Ksh 40,000.
