Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People’s Repubic of China in Kenya.
Kenya is seated in East Africa, bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east and Lake Victoria to the west. The Great Rift Valley and the Equator traverse the country, giving it diverse landscapes, a pleasant climate, and a reputation as a peaceful and friendly nation. Since gaining independence in 1963, Kenya has achieved sustained economic and social development, emerging as a regional hub for business, finance, and transportation. It is also the only developing country to host the headquarters of United Nations.
The friendship between China and Kenya has deep historical roots. It originated during Zheng He’s voyages to the West pacific and Indian Ocean, developed in the shared struggle for national liberation, and has deepened in the pursuit of national rejuvenation. In the new era, China and Kenya have worked hand in hand to lead the way in Belt and Road cooperation, accomplishing numerous flagship connectivity projects that have significantly contributed to regional economic and social development and benefited both nations.
China is ready to join Kenya in following the strategic guidance of the two countries’ heads of states tofurtherdeepenthe comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Kenya and build a closer China-Kenya community with a shared future in the new era.
The Chinese Embassy in Kenya is committed to serving as a window for mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Kenya, a bridge for deepening bilateral cooperation, and a platform for cultural exchange and mutual learning. I sincerely appreciate your attention, support and encouragement.
